Hi All,
Well, this is day 2 and I have not had one bit of sugar. Just so you know, this is not easy for me. I have at least one cookie or two a day after lunch and or dinner. I love my cookies....
I will see how long I can last but I would like to do it at least 6 months.....
Good Luck with this Nancy!
I'd like to hear, as you go forward, how long it takes to get beyond the "sugar withdrawal". I've tried this before and am just not disciplined enough! The first few days are OK, but by the second week, I feel sluggish and end up caving and having a cookie, which seems to make me feel so much better.
Well, thanks for your comments. It is so hard. I think I was in my 20's when I gave up sugar last. I think for me it is habit and I will try to have some grapes after lunch and dinner. So far so good.....but I am only day 3. Day 1 was hardest for me.
You know, my sister just went through something like you said,,,feeling sluggish and such and she added more iron to her diet, a bowl of Total mid morning and added spinach to her sandwiches and salads and she said it has helped with her sugar cravings. Maybe try that.
Thanks for the tips!!
